Early Start Program

Children learn the basics of handling, grooming and saddling, as well as correct position and control of the horse while riding.

Ages	4 - 7 year olds
Class Length	90 minutes for 4 weeks     30 minutes horse care     30 minutes riding     30 minutes horse care
Program Fee	$245.00 plus HST
The Early Start Program runs monthly from October thru June

 

Children will be under constant  supervision by either their horse care teacher or riding instructor.

In this program, our goal is to create confident and independent young riders who will progress on to group lessons as soon as their skills permit.

Equipment Rentals Helmet / Crop / Boots $20.00 Helmet & Crop $10.00 Boots $10.00 Riding Helmets and Riding Boots are mandatory to participate in a program. Meadowlarke Stables offers rental of the following size ranges for helmets & boots. Helmets - 6 5/8 - 73/8  metric 20 1/2 - 23 1/8 Boots - Children's 12 - Men's 11  metric 30-44 If you do not fit or are uncertain if you fit this size range, please advise the office upon registration.
